The Morning Announcements: Behind the Scenes

At UAHS, the morning announcements are known for their weekly puns/riddles and their occasionally dramatic readings. I produced this video last year to give students a behind-the-scenes look at how these announcements were made. I interviewed the students responsible for reading the announcements, as well as the Student Council adviser who selected them. Creating the video was a great experience; I had never made something of this size before.

Graduation live coverage

Last year, staff writer George Bernard and I attended graduation. As part of the press, we were able to see the graduates before the marched into the stadium. We decided to livestream the event on our @uaarlingtonian Instagram page.

Collaboration

Kickin' It Live (WARL) is the broadcast news outlet at UAHS. Kickin' It is separate from Arlingtonian, but as editor in chief I have made an effort to collaborate with Kickin' It Live. For example, we merged podcasts with them, and have invited them to staff events such as our Halloween party.
